Thyroid Profile are a series of blood tests which is used to measure how well your thyroid gland is working. There are 3 tests include in this profile T3 (Triiodothyronine), T4 (Thyroxine),and TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone) The thyroid is a small gland located in the neck.
- T3 ( Triiodothyronine ) :- The thyroid gland produces a hormone called triiodothyronine, known as T3 By measuring the T3 in your blood, your doctor may be able to determine if you have a thyroid problem.
- T4 (Thyroxine) : - The thyroid gland produces a hormone called thyroxine . A thyroxine test measures the level of thyroxine (T4) in the blood. Too much or too little T4 can indicate thyroid disease.
- TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone) :-TSH is an hormone which is produced by pituitary gland .tsh is work on the site to stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroxine(T4), and then triiodothyronine (T3) .
